Century Sunrise Apartments is the transformative adaptive reuse of two blighted industrial buildings. The buildings were once utilized by the Endicott-Johnson Show Company, a prosperous shoe manufacturer based in New York’s southern tier. The redevelopment converts the buildings into 105 residential units with a multi-level café and unique garden space between the buildings. The residential amenities include recreation areas, a playground, laundry facilities, a community room, and outdoor greenspace as well as ample off-street parking and bicycle storage. The 105 one-, two-, and three-bedroom units are affordable to households with annual incomes from 50% to 60% of AMI. A subset of units is designated for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Century Sunrise Apartments was completed in 2019 and is fully occupied.
